The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) has condemned the action taken by the Educational Authorities in Al-Raqqah in transferring teacher Mohammed Ghanim from his workplace in Jamila Buhairid School in the city of Al-Raqqah (North East Syria) to the village of Ma’daan which lies more than 70 Kilometres from his home, without any legal or moral justification, and which had nothing to do with his job performance.

The teacher Mohammed Ghanim has suffered many times at the hands of the security apparatus and various authorities which are dominated by the intelligence apparatus, without justification.

 SHRC calls upon the Syrian Authorities to return Mohammed Ghanim to his school which is close to where he lives, and to put a complete end to his subjection to harm and harassment.
