A closely related source has reported that Mr. Taher Mohammed Abdulkader (43 years) has been released following two months of detainment for unknown reasons. The Military intelligence security arrested him from his home in Aleppo on 23/2/2009. From that time he disappeared and was unheard of until his release few days ago.

On this occasion, the Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) calls upon the Syrian Authorities to stop all measurements of arbitrary arrests, especially as they are not justified from a legal perspective, and occur without warrants from specialised juridical authorities.
