An informed source has reported that the citizen Ibrahim Mohammed Salih Atiah from Deir Al-Zour, a Maths teacher, was arrested by the Syrian Airforce Intelligence whilst visiting Damascus two weeks ago. His family were not aware of this.

The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) condemns the continuing practice of arbitrary arrests in Syria and calls upon the Syrian Authorities to reveal the fate of the teacher Ibrahim Mohammed Salih Atiah, to release him immediately and to put an end to all repressive, illegal and unjustified arrests.
